It’s an exciting time at the RW (Bob) Farr Library. The new library system, Libero, will be installed by Monday 10 September. Initially, library users won’t see a huge difference as most of the changes will benefit staff in providing greater customer service. Borrowers will, Relax in the Library however, see great improvements once the online presence is established by being able to search for titles and authors, see cover images, renew loans, reserve items, submit inter library loan requests and search focus lists from new items to current favourites. The interface will be crisp, clean and easy to use, presenting innovative search and browse options, including the ability to browse by tags, similar books, and popular searches. An online self- registration feature will facilitate new membership. Gradually we will be able to make our collection of scanned historical images available on the library web page for people to access. Come and see us for more information about our new innovations.
