17 Septem­ber Chris Nixon will be paint­ing the Skate Park all week. Come and check it out. 27 Septem­ber Open­ing night of “The Peo­ple’s Art: 50 | 65”. RSVP is re­quired for open­ing night to Arts Nar­ro­gin. This Free ex­hibit runs un­til 21 Oc­to­ber. 20 Oc­to­ber The “Live­lighter” Nar­ro­gin Agri­cul­tural Show 9 am - 11.45 pm. Fire­works, dis­plays, sideshow al­ley, live mu­sic. 30 Septem­ber “The Great Ride” Cel­e­bra­tion of the Cen­te­nary of The Great Ride will take place at the Nar­ro­gin Re­cep­tion Cen­tre 6pm – 8pm with a pre­sen­ta­tion of the Great Ride by Carmel Charl­ton. The show in­cludes songs, di­a­logue, po­ems and pro­jected im­ages telling the story of the 10 Light Horse Reg­i­ment lead­ing the Aus­tralian Mounted Di­vi­sion into Da­m­as­cus where Lieu­tenant Colonel Arthur Charles Ni­quet Olden, the den­tist from Nar­ro­gin, ac­cepted the for­mal sur­ren­der of the City. A light sup­per will be pro­vided. 1 Oc­to­ber A re-en­act­ment of the sur­ren­der of Da­m­as­cus will take place in Me­mo­rial Park with mem­bers of the 10 Light Horse Al­bany Troop and the 10 Light Horse Bun­bury Troop lead­ing the pa­rade into Me­mo­rial Park where the reen­act­ment will take place. Re­ceiv­ing the ‘sur­ren­der’ pa­pers will be Mr Brad Olden, Ma­jor Olden’s grand­son. Pa­rade com­mences at 10am at the Old Court­house Mu­seum. Morn­ing tea will be served at the Mu­seum at 11am. 17 Novem­ber 25 years of the fa­mous Nar­ro­gin Rev­heads au­to­mo­tive event. A safe and fam­ily-friendly event.
