Kid ath­letes dis­play skills at car­ni­val

St Matthews Pri­mary School held its athletics fac­tion car­ni­val at Thomas Hogg Oval last Wed­nes­day.

Twelve school records were bro­ken, while the Year 6 co­hort fin­ished off the day with a race against their teach­ers and par­ents.

Max Sk­er­ritt was the over­all Year 6 boy cham­pion for the day, with Guil­laume van der Riet fin­ish­ing run­ner-up.

Grace Mulc­ahy and Jac­inta Thon­ton were the top per­form­ers in the girls’ Year 6 divi­sion.

Bryce Pauley dom­i­nated in the Year 5 boys’ cat­e­gory, while Lo­gan Batt fin­ished run­ner-up.

Kate Cousins was out­stand­ing in the girls’ Year 5 events as well as Tessa King in sec­ond.

Jax Mof­fattwon the cham­pion boy ti­tle in Year 4, closely fol­lowed by Chase Par­sons.

Kait­lyn Behlau and Mad­di­son Shep­herd were cham­pi­ons and run­ner-up re­spec­tively in the Year 4 girls.
