Week three goes to for­mi­da­ble Duck­worth

Duck­worth has pulled off a 27-11 win over Rowe in week three of the Nar­ro­gin Squash club’s spring com­pe­ti­tion. Chris Al­lan man­aged to get Rowe the first points on the score sheet in his match against Dwayne Franks.

Win­ning the first three games of their match 15-9, 15-11, 15-10, Al­lan dropped the last game 2-10 to Franks.

WA ju­nior rep­re­sen­ta­tive Michaela Pratt won Duck­worth’s first match of the fix­ture against Alyce Smith.

Smith won the first game 17-15 be­fore Pratt took the next two 1510, 15-10.

Smith col­lected an­other point for her side in the fourth 15-12, but Pratt took the match in the fifth 15-7.

Nick Samson con­tin­ued Duck­worth’s point roll against Charles Naude, win­ning the first three matches but drop­ping the fourth 15-12,15-9, 15-11, 13-15.

Rowe still had a chance to claim the fix­ture in the fourth match as Dee Hol­lett de­feated Jenny Shep­herd 16-14, 13-15, 15-7, 9-10.

Tak­ing two games each, Hol­lett won on points 53-46.

Gary Hay brought Duck­worth to the brink of vic­tory in his match against Tarli Cooper.

Hay won the first 15-10, Cooper the sec­ond 15-12, be­fore Hay took the next two games 15-12, 15-13.

So­phie Lushey sealed the fix­ture for Duck­worth, win­ning her match against Jane Pratt 15-9, 15-9, 12-15, 15-7.
