Al­bany pocket Clas­sic vic­tory

The An­nual Nar­ro­gin and District 8 Ball As­so­ci­a­tion Nar­ro­gin Clas­sic was held at the Cuballing Tav­ern last week­end.

This is a com­pe­ti­tion between the Nar­ro­gin, Al­bany and Katan­ning eight ball as­so­ci­a­tions.

Each as­so­ci­a­tion has two teams of five play­ers, who play a full roundrobin com­pe­ti­tion between the teams.

Each round in­cludes three games of sin­gles for ev­ery player.

Af­ter 225 games of eight ball, the win­ners were de­cided.

Many of these games came down to a one-ball win or a black ball win. Con­grat­u­la­tions to Al­bany 1, who went through the week­end un­de­feated.

The fol­low­ing play­ers were awarded top per­cent­age for their as­so­ci­a­tions: Kyra Rikys 66.6 per cent (Nar­ro­gin), Jamie Wilkin­son 93.3 per cent and George Ninte 93.3 per cent (Al­bany) and David Chill­cott 80 per cent (Katan­ning).

A big thank you Brian and Donna Harvi­son for host­ing the event.

The food and cus­tomer ser­vice was ex­cel­lent over the whole week­end.

The next Clas­sic is in Al­bany on Fe­bru­ary 2 and 3 next year.
