What’s on your desktop?

A handful of Keynote decks for the 2016 Studios Summit – a recent event I produced for IBM Studios leaders from around the world. A few animated GIFs I used for this week’s Austin studio update email. My desktop wallpaper is a photo I took of Jasper John’s amazing piece ‘According to What’.

What little things make your life worthwhile?

My ampersand baseball cap from Hoefler & Co., a bottle of 2007 High Roller Cabernet Sauvignon, the Double-Double from In-N-Out, and an Oliva Serie V Melanio Maduro Torpedo. And travel; whenever, wherever.

How often do you hang out with other designers?

I typically hang out with non-designers; people who work in a diverse array of industries. I like learning about what other people do and the problems they face on a daily basis. When I do hang out with designers, I try to spend that time with people who work in different places as a way to check in with other segments of the industry. It varies a lot, but I try to keep a somewhat consistent 9 to 5 schedule. Sometimes more, sometimes less when I need time for myself.
