( 1) Nav­i­ga­tion is cen­tred around the search bar and fil­ters, en­abling users to quickly home in on a spe­cific set of re­quire­ments.

( 2) As re­sults are fil­tered down, the map au­to­mat­i­cally scales to en­sure some are vis­i­ble on screen. If the user doesn’t have lo­ca­tion ser­vices avail­able, the search box can be used to jump to an address or area.

( 3) Click­ing on a marker re­veals a small pop-up summary of that vol­un­teer­ing op­por­tu­nity with the abil­ity to ei­ther click for more info, save it to come back to it later, or to fil­ter by any of the cri­te­ria listed (I see an op­por­tu­nity from 3-5pm, I want to find more op­por­tu­ni­ties that fit this time).

( 4) The op­por­tu­nity de­tail page, shown here on mo­bile, ap­pears when click­ing ‘more info’ on the pop-up. It de­tails the op­por­tu­nity and gives in­for­ma­tion on the ac­tiv­ity, who to con­tact for more info, in-depth lo­ca­tion info (with po­ten­tial tie-in to ser­vices like Ci­tymap­per) and an ac­tion to opt in.
