The award-winning Italian designer explains how a love of DJing got him into web design
We talk to award-winning designer Marco Grimaldi about his blossoming career
Born and raised in Italy, designer Marco Grimaldi ( thenerodesign.com) has been based in London since 2014, where he works as a senior designer at mobile app design and development studio Fueled ( fueled.com). A lover of design, branding and typography, he also finds time to judge the latest cuttingedge sites for the FWA. We chatted with Marco to find out more about his work and some of his recent projects; here’s what he had to say.
Hi Marco! What’s your background? I’m an Italian designer based in London since 2014. Before moving to the UK I studied computer science at Federico II university in Naples. After graduating, I had the chance to do a course in graphic and web design. In my first job I was hired as a web designer and front-end developer for an Italian company called Meetweb. There, I learned that there is no limit to what you can do with the web and with your creativity (especially if you know which technology to use).
You’re currently a senior designer at Fueled; what does your work involve? Working as a senior designer at Fueled means working and taking care of a lot of different aspects of every project.
