(1) It all kicked off with a brief from Powerleague about how we could gentrify the centres, which are now called Clubs. (2) This led into a bigger conversation about the overall Powerleague brand and its vision to encourage a new generation to play more football. This inspired our big idea, to belong. Each Club would now represent the local culture, history and character. A unique crest was created for each Club. (3) Some initial wireframes. The clickable prototype was built in InVision. Due to the tight deadline, we didn’t do any user testing but previous data showed four key site drivers: Booking, Kids, Events, Club Finder. (4) The website was designed mobile first; we used a modular design, to keep it as adaptable as possible and with the app in mind. (5) Homepage, clearly showing ‘Book a pitch’ front and centre. (6) The Club Concept gives each club, each team and each individual a sense of togetherness. This was fundamental in the personalisation of the site after login.
