Alarm was raised when she didn’t turn up at the Coles su­per­mar­ket where she worked with her mum Hazel. Her naked body was even­tu­ally found in scrub at Tynong North.

AN­N­MARIE SAR­GENT, 18.

Left her mother’s Cran­bourne home on Oc­to­ber 6, 1980, to catch a bus to the Dan­de­nong Com­mon­wealth Em­ploy­ment Of­fice. She never re­turned home.

BERTHA MILLER, 73.

Bertha was on her way to church when she van­ished on Au­gust 10, 1980. She was sup­posed to catch a tram near her Glen Iris home to Prahran, but she never ar­rived. Her body was found at Tynong North.

AL­LI­SON ROOKE, 59.

On May 30, 1980, Al­li­son left home to catch a bus to the Frankston shops. Her body was found by a dog walker on July 5, 1980, in scrub near Skye Road in Frankston.

NARU­MOL STEPHEN­SON, 34.

Naru­mol, orig­i­nally from Thai­land, had only lived in Aus­tralia for a year. She was ab­ducted out­side a friend’s house on Novem­ber 29, 1980. In Fe­bru­ary 1983, her re­mains were found at Tynong North.

JOY CARMEL SUM­MERS, 55.

Joy was last seen at a bus stop on Oc­to­ber 9, 1981, in Frankston. On Novem­ber 22 that same year, Joy’s re­mains were also dis­cov­ered in a sim­i­lar fash­ion to Al­li­son Rooke – in scrub near Skye Road, Frankston.
