He’s cel­e­brat­ing his mile­stone 70th birth­day this month and, look­ing back, Prince Charles’ life has been packed with mem­o­rable mo­ments. The Prince of Wales has al­ways lived in the lime­light, with his life as fu­ture heir to the throne mapped out from birth. And while most peo­ple would be con­sid­er­ing re­tire­ment at this age, the prince is gear­ing up for the most im­por­tant role of all as he pre­pares to wear the crown as King of Bri­tain. New Idea takes a look at Charles’ life through the years.
