The new Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio will make its debut in New Zealand this month, featuring supercar performance from a Ferrari-inspired 375kw 2.9-litre bi-turbo V6 engine and a new eight-speed automatic gearbox linked to the Alfa DNA Pro driver-control system, and a classic rear-wheel-drive chassis.

“The Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio marks a whole new start for Alfa Romeo, a renaissance for a 106-year-old company that has inspired generations of drivers,” says David Smitherman, chief executive officer of Alfa Romeo in New Zealand, “and what a new start the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio is!”

It boasts a 0–100kph time of just 3.9 seconds and can reach a top speed of 307kph. The front fascia features an aggressive aero treatment, including brake-cooling ducts, bumper slits, and a carbon-fibre Active Aero Splitter, with the bonnet also featuring heat extractors. Carbon-fibre side skirts are integrated into the body surface, and the rear is highlighted by a carbon-fibre spoiler and a wider, more aggressive rear bumper with a diffuser that wraps around the quad-tipped Monza dual-mode exhaust system. Riding on lightweight 19-inch forged alloys, which are wrapped in specially developed Pirelli P Zero Corsa tyres, the Quadrifoglio incorporates a powerful Brembo brake system with six-piston calipers at the front and four-piston calipers at the rear. It also holds the current production-sedan lap record at the Nürburgring circuit, with a time of 7min 32s.

Orders have started, at a price of $134,990 plus on-road costs, with deliveries set to begin in April.
