AUTOART MCLAREN P1

The P1 model is manufactured by AUTOART in 1:18 scale and aligned with its Signature Series tier. This is a limited-edition model. Base material (which has been scrutinized long before its release) is composite. It features opening parts and a removable rear section. The P1 model comes in the typical styrofoam shell box, with both the rear hatch and spoiler shipped independently from the model — installation instructions are enclosed.

The front of the P1 features carbon-fibre detail, mesh grilles, and access to the storage. All elements are created with care, while fit and finish are spot on. The rear is much like the front, with great execution throughout — AUTOART even captured the minute workings of the rear brake lighting.

The suspension, wheels, and tyres manage to capture the aggressive nature of the car, though the engine-bay detail has left some slightly underwhelmed. Overall, this P1 model is one for the collection, but be sure to be gentle, as the composite parts can be fragile.
