Southland’s Tour of Duty Cruise for cars made in the US is back. The cruise from Invercargill to Teanau will start on Saturday, July 7 2018, a date as close as possible to July 4, to celebrate America’s Independence Day.

Organizer Ray Oosterbroek is expecting another full register for this year’s event, with a bit of nostalgia thrown in: the Tour will return to many of the country refreshment stops that were part of the original event.

Attendees will be entertained on the Saturday night in Teanau by The Yardmen, who are ready to rock until late.

Formed by a group of American car enthusiasts back in 2007, every year since, the Tour has been a growing success in Southland.

“We are not a club. It’s just a group of people getting out to enjoy American cars and socialize for a weekend celebrating American Independence Day,” says Ray.

The Tour starts at 10am on Saturday at the Feldwick Gates in Queens Park, Invercargill. If you’re keen to go, then get your entry in now. Don’t forget to get those costumes organized!
