AUTOART P O R S C H E 9 5 9

New Zealand Classic Car - - Automobilia -

The Porsche 959 is legendary among Porschophiles. It was first manufactured in 1986 as a Group B rally car, before being marketed as a road-legal production car. The production period lasted until 1993. The 336kw twin-turbo car was, at the time, the world’s fastest-ever production car, with claims of a top speed of more than 320kph! It also paved the way for other all-wheel-drive Porsche models. The launch models sold from $340K, and the cars only ever climbed upwards from that price. Microsoft’s Bill Gates owns one of the most famous 959s, which he purchased new but before they were legally allowed to be driven in the US. Gates’ car was stored by US Customs for 13 years before he was able to take delivery of it. This superb model from AUTOART is available immediately and is as well presented as the real thing. The 1/18-scale die-cast model is very definitely a car for the Porsche aficionado.
