Market consistent despite the dry conditions
BURNETT Livestock and Realty’s All Breeds Steer Sale yarded 2500 head.
In the biggest, and undoubtedly best, yarding of steers in the history of the annual sale, the market was consistent despite the ongoing dry conditions.
The champion pen was won by LK and TM Davies, Mundubbera, for a pen of brangus infused steers that sold for 342c/$1445.
Winner of the santa gertrudis infused class was Dangar-field Cattle Co, Taroom, which sold for 334c/$1458.
The droughtmaster infused class was won by JJ and G Hobi, Bundaberg, which sold for 330c/$1720.
HK Dwyer, Didcot, won the brahman infused class with steers that sold for 308c/$1128.
GK Gericke, Mundubbera, won the charbray infused class with steers that sold for 346c/$1441. Eidsvold Sleeper Mill won the simmental infused class with steers that sold for 339c/$1502.
GF and MJ Lennon, Manumbar, sold milk and two tooth santa charolais cross steers for 335c/$1508. Glenellen Cattle Co, Chinchilla, sold milk and two tooth santa gertrudis steers for 336c/$1487.
