The Bund­aberg Golf Course will be closed next Mon­day and Tues­day (Septem­ber 25 and 26) as the club un­der­takes much-needed ren­o­va­tions ahead of the wet sea­son.

The club, in a post on Face­book, apol­o­gised for the dis­rup­tion but said it was needed to im­prove the greens.

The club is ex­pected to re-open on Wed­nes­day, Septem­ber 27.

Langerak benched FOOT­BALL:

Bund­aberg’s Mitch Langerak’s move to Span­ish club Le­vante has not yielded im­me­di­ate start­ing time for the 29-year-old. The for­mer The Waves ju­nior was on the bench for the La Liga side in their 1-1 draw against Va­len­cia on Saturday. It was Langerak’s first se­lec­tion into the squad af­ter join­ing the club from Ger­man side Stuttgart last month. Langerak and Le­vante take on Real So­ciedad this week.

Sign-on day SOFT­BALL:

The Bund­aberg Soft­ball As­so­ci­a­tion will be hold­ing a sign-on day this Saturday at the grounds near Frank Coulthard Oval.

It also dou­bles as a ‘come and try’ day for those that want to play and give it a go.

The day starts at 9am with peo­ple on hand to help peo­ple sign-on if they want to join a club.

Turner qual­i­fies BAS­KET­BALL:

For­mer Bund­aberg Bear Yvonne Turner has qual­i­fied for the WNBA play­offs with club side Phoenix Mer­cury.

The side is cur­rently in the semi-fi­nals and is play­ing Los An­ge­les for a spot in the fi­nal over five games.

Phoenix face a must-win game to­mor­row morn­ing at 5 af­ter Los An­ge­les won the open­ing two games.
