The Bundaberg Golf Course will be closed next Monday and Tuesday (September 25 and 26) as the club undertakes much-needed renovations ahead of the wet season.
The club, in a post on Facebook, apologised for the disruption but said it was needed to improve the greens.
The club is expected to re-open on Wednesday, September 27.
Langerak benched FOOTBALL:
Bundaberg’s Mitch Langerak’s move to Spanish club Levante has not yielded immediate starting time for the 29-year-old. The former The Waves junior was on the bench for the La Liga side in their 1-1 draw against Valencia on Saturday. It was Langerak’s first selection into the squad after joining the club from German side Stuttgart last month. Langerak and Levante take on Real Sociedad this week.
Sign-on day SOFTBALL:
The Bundaberg Softball Association will be holding a sign-on day this Saturday at the grounds near Frank Coulthard Oval.
It also doubles as a ‘come and try’ day for those that want to play and give it a go.
The day starts at 9am with people on hand to help people sign-on if they want to join a club.
Turner qualifies BASKETBALL:
Former Bundaberg Bear Yvonne Turner has qualified for the WNBA playoffs with club side Phoenix Mercury.
The side is currently in the semi-finals and is playing Los Angeles for a spot in the final over five games.
Phoenix face a must-win game tomorrow morning at 5 after Los Angeles won the opening two games.
