Cole misses out on Isis player of the year award
LEAGUE: He might be the best player in the Bundaberg Rugby League A-Grade this season but it wasn’t enough for Tim Cole on Saturday night.
The Isis Devils player missed out on winning the best and fairest, overlooked for Rob Suter, who took out the award at the club’s best and fairest dinner.
It wasn’t all bad news for Cole, who won the Iron Man award.
In other awards on the night, Ethan Sargent won rookie of the year with Stephen Pershouse winning most improved.
Peter Grant was named club person of the year.
In the women’s side, Sheree Jewess won best and fairest with Tearnee Morrice winning players’ player.
Taleasha Morrice was rookie of the year.
The Isis club awards starts a busy two weeks for club presentations.
The Waves and BRL A-Grade premiers Past Brothers will hold their awards night this Saturday night.
Tickets for The Waves presentation are still available, with former NRL player Michael Crocker to be the special guest on the night.
