Cole misses out on Isis player of the year award

LEAGUE: He might be the best player in the Bund­aberg Rugby League A-Grade this sea­son but it wasn’t enough for Tim Cole on Saturday night.

The Isis Devils player missed out on win­ning the best and fairest, over­looked for Rob Suter, who took out the award at the club’s best and fairest din­ner.

It wasn’t all bad news for Cole, who won the Iron Man award.

In other awards on the night, Ethan Sar­gent won rookie of the year with Stephen Per­shouse win­ning most im­proved.

Peter Grant was named club per­son of the year.

In the women’s side, Sheree Jewess won best and fairest with Tearnee Mor­rice win­ning play­ers’ player.

Taleasha Mor­rice was rookie of the year.

The Isis club awards starts a busy two weeks for club pre­sen­ta­tions.

The Waves and BRL A-Grade pre­miers Past Brothers will hold their awards night this Saturday night.

Tick­ets for The Waves pre­sen­ta­tion are still avail­able, with for­mer NRL player Michael Crocker to be the spe­cial guest on the night.

The pre­sen­ta­tion is at The Waves Sports Club.
