Adani unncessary

THE Adani coal mine is as unnecessary as it is toxic and should it become a reality will be compared to the cane toads by future generations.

The price of coal power in India already is far beyond the means of the vast majority of Indians to even connect to the grid, let alone to pay the ongoing bills.

The only winners in India, apart from Adani, would be the multi-national corporations who would build massive factories creating more environmental damage and exploitation of the workers whose pay is already well below the poverty line.

That some of our politicians support this in 2017 is simply appalling and unsustainable and will be always condemned by future generations. — MAX TANZER Elliott Heads
