Man in se­ri­ous con­di­tion af­ter crash

THE Bund­aberg-based RACQ LifeF­light Res­cue he­li­copter was tasked to a trail bike ac­ci­dent on a prop­erty out­side Bund­aberg.

The 52-year-old man suf­fered spinal in­juries af­ter he came off his trail bike Satur­day af­ter­noon west of Miriam Vale while trav­el­ling about 60 km/h.

He was thrown about 10m be­fore he was treated at the scene at the Mount Tom prop­erty.

Queens­land Am­bu­lance Ser­vice paramedics from Miriam Vale as well as a crit­i­cal care para­medic from Bund­aberg and the aeromed­i­cal crew treated the man.

Bund­aberg RACQ LifeF­light Res­cue he­li­copter then flew him to Bund­aberg Hos­pi­tal.

The Sun­shine Coast-based RACQ LifeF­light Res­cue he­li­copter then trans­ferred the man to a Bris­bane hos­pi­tal for fur­ther treat­ment.

The man was trans­ferred in a se­ri­ous but sta­ble con­di­tion with spinal in­juries.
