Lotto winner remains mystery
LOTTO chiefs admit their hands are tied when it comes to tracking down the elusive owner of Victoria’s
$55 million Powerball ticket. Three weeks after the numbers were drawn for the largest lotto prize in Australia in the past year, nobody has claimed the cash. Privacy laws prevent Tatts staff from trying to identify the owner of the unregistered ticket. But they said it was highly likely the winner was local to the Melbourne suburb of Brunswick, where the ticket was sold. Six more winning tickets worth a total of almost $6 million are also unclaimed.
