North Coast Times - - NEWS -

AUSTRALIA Day celebrations will include a free community event at a water playground in Eglinton this Thursday.

It will be at Kinkuna Park in the Allara estate, where water and adventure playgrounds opened last year, and there will be organised games and pop-up water amusements at the park from 11am to 3pm.

People can bring their own picnic or buy refreshments at the smoke and alcohol-free event.

Developer Satterley Property Group recently introduced free Wi-Fi at the park as well, with access available 24/7.

The Urban Development Institute of Australia recognised Allara last month as an environmentally sustainable development after achieving six elements.

It was the second master-planned community in WA to achieve the rating, having achieved certification for the ecosystems, waste, energy, materials, water and community elements.

Group chief executive Nigel Satterley said it was the first Satterley estate to achieve this certification.
