Big turnout for kid ca­pers

ABOUT 700 peo­ple at­tended the an­nual But­ler Bo­nanza at Kings­bridge Re­serve on Jan­uary 20.

The free youth event, hosted by the City of Wan­neroo, saw young­sters take part in a range of sport and recre­ational ac­tiv­i­ties, in­clud­ing The Game Vault, cul­tural and hip hop dance per­for­mances, foot­ball, soc­cer and bas­ket­ball.

Freestyle Now ran a skate, scooter and BMX com­pe­ti­tion with 70 com­peti­tors and win­ners in­cluded Ka­ree Fur­neyuall in the girls’ scooter cat­e­gory, Jior­dan Gi­a­coppo in open scooter, Tyla D’Arcy in open skate­board and Luke Tooze in open BMX.

There was also a bouncy cas­tle, sumo suits, free bar­be­cue and modelling stage per­for­mance.
