SUN­DAY’S Quinns Rocks parkrun saw 109 run­ners, of whom 51 were first­timers and 39 recorded new per­sonal bests.

Rep­re­sen­ta­tives of eight dif­fer­ent ath­let­ics clubs took part in the Jan­uary 28 event, the fourth since parkrun started in Quinns Rocks this year.

Or­gan­is­ers said 389 dif­fer­ent run­ners, in­clud­ing par­tic­i­pants from 27 ath­let­ics clubs, have com­pleted 563 runs cov­er­ing a to­tal dis­tance of 2815km, and there have been 94 new per­sonal bests since Jan­uary 7.

The fe­male record is held by Mar­garet Hadley, who ran in a time of 19 min­utes, 36 sec­onds in the first event.

The male record is held by Dean Brown with 17.33, also on Jan­uary 7.
