Myths a hit for dress-up day

MER­RIWA Pri­mary School cel­e­brated Book Week with its an­nual book char­ac­ter pa­rade last term.

Lit­er­acy com­mit­tee mem­ber Phillipa Hill said the theme this year was mys­ti­cal and myth­i­cal char­ac­ters.

“This com­ple­ments our term 3 whole school ‘Talk for writ­ing’ fo­cus on myth­i­cal crea­tures,” she said.

“Our school has been work­ing to­gether to link speak­ing, read­ing and writ­ing and is hav­ing some amaz­ing re­sults.”
