Car­ni­val fun also a great fundraiser

A SPRING-sum­mer car­ni­val at Clark­son’s main shop­ping cen­tre helped raise $675 for Sorop­ti­mists In­ter­na­tional (SI) Joon­dalup.

About 135 peo­ple at­tended spon­ta­neous styling work­shops at Ocean Keys Shop­ping Cen­tre on Septem­ber 24, where blog­gers Mary-Ann Smilovi­tis, Raquel Tay­lor and Sab­rina Yates styled out­fits on stage.

SI Joon­dalup plans to di­rect the funds raised to fab­ric, wash­cloths and other items re­quired for san­i­tary kits for the Days for Girls project.

across the week­end who came to ex­pe­ri­ence the car­ni­val at­mos­phere, in­clud­ing jug­gling, plate­spin­ning and uni­cy­clerid­ing in cir­cus skills work­shops.

There were also cir­cus stage shows, a cir­cus-themed craft sta­tion, pop-up games zone, bouncy cas­tle, stilt-walk­ers, face­painters and bal­loon­twisters.
