FES­TI­VAL A CHANCE FOR BREW­ERIES TO SHOW WARES

VENUES at Min­darie Ma­rina are brew­ing up bev­er­ages for the first fes­ti­val of the up­com­ing spring-sum­mer sea­son.

The an­nual Board­walk Beer Fest will be on Satur­day, Oc­to­ber 14, with more than 20 brew­eries of­fer­ing tast­ings, plus street food stalls and live cook­ing sta­tions.

“While it is or­gan­ised by our­selves, The Ma­rina Min­darie, we have in­vited brew­eries from all over WA,” fes­ti­val co-or­di­na­tor Kara Wood said.

“It’s all about giv­ing a plat­form where each brew­ery can show off their best brews.

“It will be big­ger and bet­ter this year with more than 20 brew­eries and cideries in­volved. We hope to at­tract up to 8000 peo­ple to the ma­rina through­out the day.”

There will be two bands per­form­ing – Dr Bo­gus at The Boat, and Kings and Queens at the Indi.

Moun­tain Goat Beer will host a pool party in the Ca­bana bar and bar­be­cue fea­tur­ing DJs Dar­ren Bouthier and Dan Ox­en­bury.

Subaru Wan­gara will have a car dis­play and there will be street per­form­ers.

The fes­ti­val will run from 16pm, with a free chil­dren’s zone open from 1-5pm.
