Woolies opening soon
BUTLER Central’s supermarket will open mid-December, with the rest of the shopping centre to open in March.
A Woolworths spokesman said the supermarket in the $35 million retail development would open in time for Christmas and trade alongside Dan Murphy’s liquor store, which is already open.
“The new community hub on the corner of Butler Boulevard and Camborne Parkway will also feature a public town square, located centrally on ‘Eat Street’, providing a range of exciting restaurants and cafes,” he said.
The spokesman said the second stage launch in mid-March would include more than 25 speciality retailers, the ‘Eat Street’ precinct and the town square that connects to Butler Station.
Brighton estate developer Satterley Property Group expects interest from more major retailers when it releases the final commercial sites in Butler, with Aldi, BCF, McDonald’s and a medical centre among the existing businesses.
“This is prime commercial land surrounded by a thriving and growing community,” chief executive Nigel Satterley said.
“The commercial sites in the business park north are located along Landbeach Avenue.”
Mr Satterley said the commercial land still available totalled 4ha.
