Milestone for college

North Coast Times - - NEWS -

THE first cohort of students at Butler College had their farewell presentation evening this week.

The school held its inaugural Year 12 presentation event at Perth Concert Hall on October 30 for the classes that were part of the original Year 8 group when it opened in 2013.

Principal Armando Giglia spoke about their journey from Year 8 to the young adults they are today and the futures ahead of them, whether it be employment, further study, apprenticeships or travel.

Mr Giglia said their years at the college had been characterised by the challenges of being the ‘first’ at everything and not having a peer group to look up to, while also dealing with a constant phase of building and construction.

Zelda De Silva was named the ATAR (Australian Tertiary Admission Rank) dux and Ryo Evans was the VET (Vocational Education and Training) dux.
