PCYC reach out on recre­ation

THE WA Po­lice and Com­mu­nity Youth Cen­tres (PCYC) kicked off its out­reach ses­sions in But­ler this term.

PCYC youth work­ers and the City of Wan­neroo are de­liv­er­ing the ses­sions, where young peo­ple can take part in recre­ational ac­tiv­i­ties.

“The pro­gram is also sup­ported by WA Po­lice, who aim to in­crease the re­la­tion­ship be­tween law en­force­ment bod­ies and lo­cal youth,” pro­gram co-or­di­na­tor Chrissy Howard said.

“Re­fresh­ments and sausage siz­zles will be pro­vided through­out the term. The de­liv­ery of out­reach ac­tiv­i­ties is part of the WA PCYC North West Metropoli­tan Re­gion pro­gram, which aims to pro­vide and in­crease the num­ber of ac­ces­si­ble youth en­gage­ment pro­grams in the north­ern sub­urbs.”
