ALKIMOS boy Scott Guerini (12) finished his fifth marathon distance in his ninth annual Scott’s Great Walk for Telethon fundraiser. “Scott walked while his little brother Damien (9) rode his bike out the front setting the pace and they made it to the finish line in seven hours and 47 minutes, 58 minutes quicker than last year,” mother Nicole said. “Now that the marathon is over, Scott will start training for his 50km treadmill challenge, which is on the Telethon Weekend in October.” The June 23 marathon achievement from the family farm to Southern Cross follows Scott’s win in the health and wellbeing category at the WA Young Achiever Awards earlier this year.
