Man pleads not guilty to in­tim­i­da­tion charge

A MAN ac­cused of pho­tograph­ing a 12-year-old girl in an in­tim­i­dat­ing man­ner in Butler has pleaded not guilty.

Yange­bup res­i­dent Shane Warren Mar­shall ap­peared in Joon­dalup Mag­is­trates Court on Wednesday, July 25, and de­nied the ac­cu­sa­tion stem­ming from an in­ci­dent on Lukin Drive on Fe­bru­ary 28.

The pros­e­cu­tion al­leges Mr Mar­shall drove slowly be­hind a child and took pho­tos of her be­tween 3pm and 4.30pm.

Mr Mar­shall spent mul­ti­ple weeks in cus­tody after be­ing ar­rested in March, be­fore be­ing re­leased on home de­ten­tion bail.

He is fac­ing a charge of “pur­su­ing an­other per­son in a man­ner to in­tim­i­date with cir­cum­stance of ag­gra­va­tion”.

He is due to face court on Septem­ber 19 for a trial al­lo­ca­tion.

Bail was re­newed.
