A year of fos­ter­ing good re­la­tion­ships

MORE than 50 peo­ple helped to cel­e­brate the first an­niver­sary of Fos­ter­ing Hope in Wan­gara.

Founder Linzi Mooney said the group had gone from two mums want­ing to make a change to hav­ing 10,000 mem­bers.

“We fundraised and man­aged to get a year’s rent so we have opened a store in Wan­gara and now we are cel­e­brat­ing out first birth­day,” she said.

“We work on col­lect­ing do­na­tions and giv­ing them to chil­dren in foster care who come into care with ab­so­lutely noth­ing. We have helped more than 300 chil­dren in foster care and sent cloth­ing to the Kim­ber­ley and re­mote com­mu­ni­ties strug­gling to clothe chil­dren.”
