PAUL CONTI WINES

North Coast Weekender - - Business -

ESTABLISHED in 1948, Paul Conti Wines is one of WA’s pioneering wineries and what makes this family-owned business entirely unique is its central location in the suburban settlement of Woodvale – just 30 minutes north of the city.

In celebrating its Sicilian heritage, the winery will be releasing WA’s first nero d’avola wine next month during a Sicilian banquet at the historic family diner and former homestead Conti’s Restaurant.

Nero d’avola is the most prolific red grape variety grown in Sicily and Paul Conti was the first WA vigneron to bring cuttings into the State around six years ago.

The $110 per-head, fourcourse banquet will not only include family-favourite dishes like swordfish alla caponata and chicken involtini, but a selection of red and white wines from the portfolio, including its popular sparkling chenin blanc.
