Business health check for rural producers
TO ensure you are leaving your farm business in an ideal state when you retire, why not attend GOTAFE’s one-day workshop that will cover many key areas that you will need to address before handing the family farm over to the next generation.
The ‘Business Health Check for Rural Producers’ workshop to be held at the Delatite Hotel in Mansfield on Monday, July 14 is specifically designed to facilitate engagement with local industry, utilising local people and expertise within agriculture.
GOTAFE’s commercial manager agriculture education Leigh Kildey said a range of topics and activities linked to building stronger business outcomes will be covered at the workshop.
“The event will provide the opportunity to engage in a positive and interactive series of training sessions linked to improved business planning and viability,” he said.
“You will be able to learn from a range of expert speakers on topics such as taking control of commodity markets, managing your insurance needs, managing your animal health needs and taking control of your grazing strategy.
“You will also develop a better understanding of how to set realistic targets for your business, gain useful tips and investigate tools to improve your business performance.”
The program features four key note speakers and skilled facilitator Stuart Warner who will take participants through a range of topics and activities linked to building stronger business outcomes.
The workshop starts at 9.30am and finishes at 3.30pm, with the cost being $60 eligible or $75 ineligible.
