Snowline principals ready to discuss benefits of the Speckle Park breed
ESTABLISHED in 2012 in the Kiewa Valley of North East Victoria, Snowline Speckle Park’s goal is to be at the forefront of the development of the Speckle Park breed in Australia as a supplier of quality stock to commercial breeders and stud operators.
Stud principals Tania Muller and Rick Munt sourced leading Australian and Canadian genetics to establish Snowline’s foundation herd, now making it one of the leading studs in Victoria.
“Our cattle are pasture fed and run under commercial conditions,” Ms Muller said.
“We have sold bulls to a variety of commercial clients who were searching for a change.
“From the vealer market to later maturing bulls, we have a phenotype to suit most commercial breeders.
“Our females offer a great genetic entry into a stud program for newcomers to the breed,” she added.
Snowline Speckle Park has had great success at regional shows and also Royals, culminating in Supreme Speckle Park exhibit in 2014 at Royal Melbourne.
Our F1 Speckle Park cattle have highlighted the impressive growth rates, yield and carcase qualities achieved by using Speckle Park bulls in commercial herds.
“In our third consecutive year as a Beef Week exhibitor we are looking forward to discussing the benefits of the breed with a variety of producers,” she said.
“We have working age bulls and females available, PTIC females, embryos and semen in top Royal Show winning bulls.
“We look forward to welcoming you and sharing refreshments,” Ms Muller said.
Snowline Speckle Park will be open on Day 3 of Beef Week on Friday, January 29.
