Our prop­er­ties are 32,000 acres in Ivan­hoe, NSW and 210 acres in Pine Lodge, Vic­to­ria.

We have sheep, cat­tle and crop­ping.

How long have you been a farmer?

I have lived on the land my whole life. Jared and I bought our first farm 11 years ago at Pine Lodge and six years ago we bought my par­ents’ farm in Ivan­hoe.

Tell us about your fam­ily.

My part­ner Jared Burke is a full-time farmer and we have two kids, Blaine, 15 and Mon­tanna, 9. They are at school in Shep­par­ton.

Best ad­vice or farm­ing tip you have re­ceived?

I seem to get dif­fer­ent ad­vice ev­ery week from so many dif­fer­ent peo­ple as I work at the sa­le­yards as well.

What is the best thing about be­ing a farmer?

The life­style and rais­ing our kids up on the land, and the peace and quiet.

What is the worst thing about be­ing a farmer?

Hav­ing to go mus­ter­ing in July early in the morn­ing on my mo­tor­bike.

If you could be some­one else for the day, who would it be and why?

I haven’t re­ally thought about be­ing some­one else for a day, but I guess a mil­lion­aire be­cause who doesn’t want to be a mil­lion­aire?
