Bulls on parade at Alpine Angus

North East & Goulburn Murray Farmer - - LIVESTOCK -

ON Wednesday, September 20 Alpine Angus is offering 45 registered Angus bulls at their sale complex at 1138 Happy Valley Road, Rosewhite.

The bulls comprise a combination of Welcome Swallow and Alpine Angus genetics and are targeted towards producing low birth, easy care, and high growth cattle, with a large percentage of the offering suitable for use over heifers.

“They are sired by leading USA and Australian bulls, selected for their proven ability to pass on the above mentioned traits,” said Alpine Angus manager Chris Oswin.

The bulls on offer are bred from a cow herd that has undergone rigorous selection pressure for maternal attributes, temperament, structure and type.

The Alpine Angus herd is rated J BAS 8 on the new farm biosecurity program.

All bulls have been semen tested, independently structurally assessed, PI tested and vaccinated for leptospirosis, vibriosis and pestivirus.

“These processes are an integral part of the Alpine Angus quality assurance program aimed at ensuring that our program delivers quality, structurally sound, fertile bulls,” said Mr Oswin.

“Basically, we put our bulls through as many hoops as possible to minimise the risk of problems occurring once we deliver them to their new home.

“This commitment is backed by as simple and comprehensive a guarantee as we can provide.

“The Alpine Angus threeyear guarantee incorporates the Welcome Swallow guarantee offered at previous Welcome Swallow sales.”

Alpine Angus is committed to honouring the previous Welcome Swallow guarantees.

“In the end, if there is a problem, call us and we will endeavour to do whatever we can to fix it,” said Mr Oswin.

Free delivery is another aspect of Alpine Angus sales.

“One of the benefits of having such a strong local support base is that we can do this personally,” said Mr Oswin.

“Another benefit of this local support is that we are in a position to deal with any problems promptly and can provide backup services quickly and efficiently.”

Over the last couple of years Alpine Angus has seen the incorporation of Welcome Swallow genetics and a significant increase in bull sales.

“We are thankful for the support we have received,” said Mr Oswin.

“We will continue to do all we can to provide high quality, performance orientated cattle and honest, reliable backup and service.”

ON SHOW: There will be 45 Welcome Swallow and Alpine Angus bulls up for sale in Rosewhite in September.
