THE potential sale of SPC, based in Shepparton, Coca-Cola has Amatil as the company been continues to struggle to meet flagged expectations. A strategic review was announced late by last month - expected owner to take around six months to complete - which will look at ways to revive the company; including the possibility of sale or merger. Coca-Cola Amatil has invested around $250 million of capital in SPC since buying the business in 2005 - but has faced on going profit issues. "Our focus is making sure that we are setting the business up by making the right choices, so it's a really logical time to step back and look at alteratives," Coca-Coala Amatil group managing director, Alison Watkings, said. SPC is the only fruit processing cannery in Australia.
