NORTH East Canoe Club promotes the sport to the wider community and to connect the other clubs together and achieved this through hosting the Reel Paddling Film Festival, which it will host again on Saturday, October 7 at Oxley Shire hall from 7.30pm.

The film night is part of a world tour when the film screens in more than 120 locations and features short films depicting all types of paddling including white water kayaking, canoeing, rafting and sea kayaking.

This year the club has made the event a whole ‘ festival of paddling’ by partnering with the Snowy River Extreme Race on the weekend prior.

The club will host paddling trips through the week leading up to and including the weekend of the film festival and beginner paddling activities over that weekend.

Tickets are $16 per adult pre-booked or $20 at the door.
