RESIDENT hosts Alistair and Gina Diprose are proud to announce that Rivergum Holiday Retreat has taken a major step towards providing quality ecotourism experiences.
They have been awarded Nature Tourism Accreditation through Ecotourism Australia.
Nature Tourism Accreditation demonstrates their full commitment to ecological sustainability, natural areas management and provision of quality ecotourism experiences with a commitment to climate change emissions reduction and adaptation strategies.
“This is the first of many steps for us as we embrace our new accreditation with enthusiasm as develop our facilities and in particular our Wetlands Reserve,” the pair said in a recent statement.
“We are working with the Murray Darling Wetlands Group towards Educational Signage along a new discovery trail highlighting the many varieties of birds and wildlife that reside at Rivergum Holiday Retreat.
“In addition, we also have plans to incorporate a bush tucker trail.
“This will become a wonderful relaxing and informative experience for our guests.
“Developing Rivergum Holiday Retreat as an ecotourism destination builds on our existing guest facilities that promote healthy living including beautiful Murray River walking paths, 1.5km exercise trail, wellness and meditation packages.
“Our aim is to delight our guests and redefine what it means to visit Corowa, NSW.”
