Feed your wellbeing at The Village Trader
FOR food and products that are not only good quality, but as consciously sourced as possible and good for your health and wellbeing, many customers flock to The Village Trader in Myrtleford.
The business opened at the beginning of this year and was the brainchild of retail professional Anna Chambers and her daughter, nutritionist Sarah Spiker.
Sarah said the pair wanted to open the business when they became frustrated at not being able to source the food they wanted to eat, and seeing a gap in the local market for such a shop.
In the months since their opening, the shop has become a popular stop for health conscious locals and visitors keen to keep their healthy food regimens on track while travelling.
She said that both of them moved from Melbourne to the alpine area in search of a more relaxed and simpler lifestyle and say they love being part of the Myrtleford community.
“We haven’t regretted it for a minute,” she said, adding that she has made new friends from many different walks of life simply through regular interactions with her customers.
The Village Trader offers a range of organic, local and natural foods, superfoods, unique and practical home items such as ceramics and tableware, and more.
The Village Trader is open seven days a week, from 10am-4.30pm weekdays and 10am- 3pm on weekends.
More information is available by contacting them on (03) 57521946 or on their regularly update Facebook page.
