Explore Strathbogie region during winter
THERE is plenty to explore in the ruggedly beautiful Strathbogie Shire region during winter.
You can escape the cold at a range of dining venues across the district, from cafes to high quality restaurant dining.
Local events also continue during winter, including the many popular markets that are enjoyed by locals and visitors alike.
June 13 sees the Violet Town community market at the town’s recreational reserve (also held on July 11 and August 8), while you can pick up some locally grown fresh produce on Saturday, June 20 at the Euroa Village Farmers Market (also held on July 18 and August 15).
On Saturday, July 4, the Nagambie Lakes community market will be held at Jacobson’s Outlook in Nagambie (also on August 1 and September 5).
Markets are also held in Avenel on the second Sunday of each month and in Euroa on the third Saturday of each month.
Car lovers should mark September 19-20 in their diaries, with the Cranksters Hot Road Car Show set to take place on that date.
