130th Tolmie Sports Day
TOLMIE Sports will happen again on Saturday, February 13.
There will be the ever popular woodchop and equestrian events, Trixie the Clown and face painting for the kids, all the novelty and foot races, egg, gumboot and sheaf tossing competitions, dog jump and the premier event of the day, the Three Man Challenge.
This year will see a revamped Three Man Challenge with the return of a horse and rider leg. The event will occur earlier in the day and the format has had a major revamp, so the surprise will not be spoiled with too many details, but be prepared to be amazed, excited and thrilled by this unique event.
Historical displays will include the working blacksmith Jack Smith, the Warby Steam Engine display, Old Fergie tractors and Bob’s Curiosity Hut.
Take time out at the food and drink precinct under the beautiful old eucalypts. Tables and chairs will be available for patrons to sit, eat, drink and soak up the atmosphere.
If you still have some energy after this action packed day, the traditional Bush Dance will be held in the Tolmie Hall starting at 7.30pm.
HOP ALONG: Sack races are part of the fun at the annual Tolmie Sports Day.
