Cool way to beat the heat in Wangaratta

North East Tourist News - - WANGARATTA -

WANGARATTA’S splash park is the city’s new water attraction for locals and visitors alike.

Located in Mitchell Avenue Park, the splash park was completed in November and was built by the same company that built Bright’s splash park, Water Features by Design.

The park is based on a Mountains and Valleys theme that was voted for by local children.

It features a big red bucket that dumps water on those below every few minutes, as well as plenty of other features, including a dragonfly, water mushrooms, tunnels with water jets inside, and a creek running down the side of the biggest mountain.

The splash park operates from 9am to 8pm throughout the summer pool season, which is due to end on March 31 in 2016.
