Heritage spotlight on Chiltern
IN April 2016 Chiltern Tourism & Development is partnering with the National Trust of Australia (Victoria) to help launch the Trusts’ Heritage Festival 2016.
The Heritage Festival is part of the NTAV 60th anniversary celebrations in 2016.
The 60th anniversary presents opportunities to particularly celebrate and exploit connections, anniversaries and vintages from the 1950s.
In 2016 the theme for the Heritage Festival will be discoveries and rediscoveries.
The event will be co-presented and co-branded NTAV and Chiltern Tourism and Development Inc Heritage Festival (Discoveries & Rediscoveries) and held on Saturday, April 16.
The event will be based in Chiltern with as many local heritage properties and history groups involved as possible.
This will include the promotion of the historic town of Chiltern and the three National Trust owned properties located in the town.
Chiltern Tourism & Development is inviting all service clubs, sporting bodies, essential services and individuals to organise their own “back to” celebration on this weekend under the brand – Come Home to Chiltern.
If you are planning a family re-union Chiltern Tourism & Development may be able to assist there too.
But organisers need as many people as possible to ‘come home to Chiltern’ on that weekend.
