New visitor guide
THE revised Official Visitors Guide for Wangaratta and Surrounds was launched in December.
It will provide residents and tourists with a comprehensive guide to annual festivals, events, attractions and places to stay throughout the region.
The guide showcases the many experiences on offer within the King Valley, Milawa Gourmet Region, Eldorado and the Woolshed Valley, Wangaratta and Glenrowan.
New sections of the guide this year include improved mapping, information for those looking to hold an event in the region, those seeking to embark on a culinary adventure and even a page titled “Perfectly Brewed” for those ale sipping, cider loving High Country fans.
“The purpose of the guide is to encourage residents and tourists to experience the naturally beautiful scenery, heritage rich history and exceptional culinary delights of Wangaratta and surrounding townships,” Emma Crameri, tourism development coordinator of the Rural City of Wangaratta, said.
“With over 70 pages of information on what to do, see, taste and experience within the region – it’s your one stop shop for information while planning your visit or navigating your way around while in the region.”
Endorsed by Tourism Victoria, 60,000 copies of this complimentary guide will be distributed at local businesses, the Wangaratta Visitor Information Centre as well as every visitor information centre across Victoria and southern New South Wales.
To obtain further copies of the new Official Visitors Guide, contact the Wangaratta Visitor Information Centre on 1800 801 065. Alternatively, feel free to drop in and meet the friendly team at 100 Murphy Street, Wangaratta.
