Fishing fun in picturesque parkland
WITH milder weather and crisper mornings, autumn is an ideal time to do a spot of fishing, or just enjoy relaxing in the shade, at Buxton Trout and Salmon Farm.
Established in 1958, the farm was Australia’s first trout farm, and has grown and evolved over the years to become the self sufficient farm it is today on five acres of picturesque parkland.
There are a variety of different ponds including large trout (500g -4kg), medium trout (300-500gm), Atlantic salmon (2kg-5kg) and a challenge lake (lightly stocked).
Buxton Trout and Salmon Farm is open seven days a week from 9am-5pm (excluding Christmas Day) and is located at 2118 Maroondah Highway, Buxton.
