Fish­ing fun in pic­turesque park­land

WITH milder weather and crisper morn­ings, au­tumn is an ideal time to do a spot of fish­ing, or just en­joy re­lax­ing in the shade, at Bux­ton Trout and Salmon Farm.

Es­tab­lished in 1958, the farm was Aus­tralia’s first trout farm, and has grown and evolved over the years to be­come the self suf­fi­cient farm it is to­day on five acres of pic­turesque park­land.

There are a va­ri­ety of dif­fer­ent ponds in­clud­ing large trout (500g -4kg), medium trout (300-500gm), At­lantic salmon (2kg-5kg) and a chal­lenge lake (lightly stocked).

Bux­ton Trout and Salmon Farm is open seven days a week from 9am-5pm (ex­clud­ing Christ­mas Day) and is lo­cated at 2118 Ma­roon­dah High­way, Bux­ton.
