I take thee - to Laura Lodge

North East Tourist News - - Bonnie Doon/ Buxton -

IF you have ever driven through Bonnie Doon, chances are you have probably noticed Laura Lodge.

With lush green hedges, a quaint dam with its summer house and picture perfect white fences, it’s hard to miss.

What many don’t realise, however, is that the property is actually known as Laura Lodge Rest and Recreational Retreat, and is now open to the public for accommodation and functions.

Chris and Christina Keilty have worked hard to create a 25 acre oasis just off Maroondah Highway.

After more than a decade of work, the Keiltys decided to name it after their daughter, Laura, who christened the function side of the business by having her wedding on-site.

With two dams, three lodges, a boat house and a Leprechaun Lodge for the kids to explore, Laura Lodge is the place to relax with family and friends.

Sleeping up to 15 guests across three private lodges, the property is not only ideal for family groups, it offers the best of both worlds for those wanting to get away – proximity to town and privacy.

There is also a large games room, full kitchen and bar, laundry, outdoor gym and, most importantly, spectacular views of Lake Eildon.
