THERE are few bet­ter places to en­joy au­tumn than right here in the North East.

Whether it’s me­an­der­ing along the leafy streets of beau­ti­ful Bright, or soak­ing up the mild and crisp au­tumn weather at a win­ery, café or even a leafy pub­lic park, this sea­son is a great time to ap­pre­ci­ate all that this re­gion of­fers.

The au­tumn months are also a time when the re­gion is show­cased with a di­verse se­lec­tion of fes­ti­vals, high­light­ing ev­ery­thing from mu­sic to food, wine, and pro­duce.

Some of the dazzling ar­ray of lo­cal fes­ti­vals in­clude the Beech­worth’s Golden Horse­shoes fes­ti­val, the Bright Au­tumn Fes­ti­val, and Tastes of Ruther­glen.

The re­gion’s beau­ti­ful lakes, rivers, fab­u­lous moun­tain walks and premier cy­cle rail trails also come into their own at this time of year.
